Ghostbusters is finally dated for June

You'll be Ghostbusting in June.

You'll be busting ghosts soon enough.

Terminal Reality, the developers of Ghostbusters: The Video Game, have spoken. The highly-anticipated game is coming out worldwide the week of June 16, 2009. Interestingly, Sony Pictures (not SCEI) would also be releasing a Blu-ray edition of the film. Finally.

You’re probably wondering: why wait all the way till June for a Blu-ray copy of Ghostbusters? Because June marks the film’s 25th anniversary. Ghostbusters was released last June 8, 1984. The game is supposed to be a third installment of the series, but since Venkman, Stanz, Spengler, and Zeddemore are a bit too old for an encore, a video game is made instead.

Class-action Nintendo Wii Strap lawsuit 2nd time around

You might still remember that a couple of years ago Nintendo Wii’s launched was marred with a class-action lawsuit accusation of about a defective wrist strap that sent it’s Wiimote fly all around that broke good television sets.

Well, people are at it again. GameCyte is running a story about a new class-action lawsuit that has challenged Nintendo’s Wiimote straps once more — and the prior 2006 case may hold the key to how it will all play out. Filed on December 2nd by Colorado resident Molly Elvig, the new class-action suit mostly picks up right where the old left off: Wiimote Strap #3. Introduced mid-2007 by Nintendo in response to complaints that the small, sliding band designed to “lock” the wrist strap was insufficient for the task, Strap #3 is secured by a plastic locking clasp — but attorneys for Elvig allege that at this juncture, all three straps continue to fail.
